Octogenarian Gets 10 Years for Smuggling from Associated Press

TUCSON, Ariz. - An 82-year-old man who was caught trying to smuggle 170 pounds of cocaine into the country from Mexico has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, the U.S. Attorney's office announced Tuesday.
Oseas Mendoza-Cecena of Nogales pleaded guilty in federal court to possession with intent to distribute cocaine in January.
He was caught trying to drive his car through the Nogales border crossing in August. Customs inspectors found 79 kilograms of cocaine hidden in the car, and Mendoza-Cecena admitted to agents that he was being paid to deliver the drugs.

I realise this is going to open a can of worms, but I need to rant about this once and for all.
For me this isn't an issue of administration or parties, (though there is a bit of overlap there) my issue is with the overwhelming power given to tinpot dictator bureaucrats who have sweeping authority to use their power to cause people trouble for no other reason than because they can. It's easier for them to boost their numbers and meet their "quotas" for how many "suspect terrorists" and "possible illegal aliens" they keep from entering our borders by actually refusing entrance to valid travellers. This includes harrassing and insulting travelers, subjecting them to strip searches, intimidating or threatening behavior, calling people liars and refusing to look at the travelers documentation, using the traveler's round-trip tickets to send them back to where they flew from without allowing them to call friends or family who may be waiting for them at their destination, or arrange for anyone to pick them up back at their point of origin.

We also have such a ridiculous issue of bureaucratic nonsense for people trying to follow the rules on legally entering this country either because they had the audacity to fall in love with someone from another country in the first place or they might wish to work here and someone may wish to hire them as say, an aeronautical engineer, high-school teacher or pediatrician. These are people with excellent credentials, no legal issues or problems and the financial wherewithal to provide for themselves and be a productive member of whatever community they choose to be part of. Then there are the people who merely wish to work in their country and come to this country regularly because they would like to enjoy our culture as artists or historians or whavtever they have a particular interest in.
These people are given hundreds of hoops to jump through, insulted, treated with suspicion, disrespect and insults (for wanting to come to our country, work here, pay taxes! What nerve!) and threatened with deportation and permanent separation from those they love if they even so much as "step out of line". Since "stepping out of line" could be construed as dealing with a cranky immigration official who hasn't had their daily cup of java yet, didn't "get some" from their spouse the night before, or is just plain po-ed that someone may be doing something that makes them happy and they are miserable f***s that want to spread a little unhappiness around, this makes things for anyone doing business with them really stressful and uncertain, to say the least!
NOW what really gets me frosty are all of the people here ILLEGALLY who get educations, housing, phones, health and dental care, WIC, energy assistance from our government officials, NOT TO MENTION all of the bleeding heart charities who won't give the time of day to someone who's trying to follow the rules! AND illegal aliens are eligible for free college educations!!!! I can't get a FREE college education! Neither can my children! I've worked since I was 15, graduated HS with excellent SAT's and as a semi-finalist on the NMS, served in the military for 5 years and then raised my children. I can't get into the really nice new housing rentals around the town I live in because by their standards I make too much money. But 36% of the people who live in the one across the street from my old apartment building are illegal and on welfare as well as making money under the table from everything from waitressing to mechanics. They are also involved in over half of the breakins, auto thefts, vandalism, and drug dealing as well as assaults and domestic violence over there.

People who try to follow the byzantine rules of our immigration system are punished and treated with disdain while people who flagrantly break the law are fawned over and catered too as if they are deserving better treatment than those of us who actually were born, work and pay taxes here.
Our legislators have given such broad powers to agencies such as Immigration Services, Homeland Security (as well as the IRS, EPA and CPS, but those are other rants) it's hard to see any way back. When our bureaucrats treat those who should be treated as friends as possible criminals because they are easy targets and make the numbers look good while brushing the hard work under the rug for whatever reason, .... well, it's just da** pathetic.

Bush Opens Door to Mexican Trucks

Our federal and state highways and bridges are among America's great assets; they enable us to drive freely and safely all over our country, and they belong to all of us, paid for by our taxes. But they are expensive assets; they require maintenance, repair, and expansion due to rising population and traffic.
Anyone who does much driving on our highways in ordinary sedans knows how crowded with big trucks our highways already are. So we're not happy that President Bush's latest concession to Mexico is to allow Mexican trucks for the first time to have open access to all our highways, roads and bridges.
It is painful for me to note that the Bush Administration is less protective of U.S. interests than the late, unlamented Clinton Administration. To his credit, Clinton kept Mexican trucks off our highways except for a 25-mile commercial zone immediately north of the border.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Mary E. Peters went to El Paso to make the announcement that for the first time, starting in April, 100 Mexican trucking companies will be allowed to make deliveries anywhere in the United States, and she put no limit on the number of trucks the 100 companies can operate. This is a major step toward Bush's vision of a North American community.
To find out why the Bush Administration ignores the comfort and safety of ordinary American drivers like me, just follow the money. Big corporations are eager to have their made-in-Mexico-by-cheap-labor products delivered in the United States by Mexican drivers, who are paid 33 to 40 percent less than U.S. truckers.
George W. Bush will never face the voters again, but other Republicans will pay the price for his coziness toward Mexico and his elitist disregard for American workers. Even the Wall Street Journal, an enthusiastic supporter of the movement of goods, services and people, legal or illegal, across our southern border, admits that rising public opinion against the importation of cheap labor "helped propel Democrats to take back Congress in November."
The jobs issue will be even bigger in 2008, and the cost to Republicans even more damaging.
The problem is not only the increased wear and tear on our highways that U.S. taxpayers will subsidize, and not even the crowding of the roads that will make driving less pleasant for us all, but it's our worry about safety. That concern is real, even if you don't buy Teamsters President Jim Hoffa's statement that "They are playing a game of Russian roulette on American's highways."
Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff assures us he is "committed to retaining a high level of security and safety standards under this program." But we are entitled to disbelieve his promise; Michael Chertoff is impudently repudiating Congress's Secure Fence Act and President Bush's much photographed pre-election signing of the Act.
Del Rio Mayor Efrain Valdez boasted on Feb. 22 that "Secretary Chertoff stated publicly after the meeting [with Texas border mayors] that Texas doesn't need a fence."
Maybe Secretary Chertoff will give us "virtual" safety standards like the "virtual fence" he sometimes talks about. At the present time, only about two percent of trucks coming across the border are inspected, so the drug dealers just consider it a cost of doing business that a few of their illegal loads will be caught.
U.S. truck drivers must meet strict requirements that include enforcement of hours, regular physicals, age limits, and drug and alcohol tests. We have no way of telling how many hours Mexican truck drivers have been on the road before they reach our border inspectors.
Mexico has no limits on how many hours a driver can drive a truck, and no credible drug testing of drivers. The Mexican trucking industry, with few exceptions, has never successfully been monitored, much less supervised.
National Transportation Safety Board member Debbie Hersman doubts that we have the personnel to take on the additional work of sending inspectors to Mexico. She says we already lack enough inspectors to conduct safety reviews of at-risk domestic carriers.
Over the last several years, there have been many fatal accidents caused by cars and trucks driven by Mexicans, legal and illegal. The most tragic and costly truck accident in Midwest history, resulting in the incineration of Rev. Aguilar's arguments paralleled the insulting comments one often finds on radical leftist and ethnic blogs in which America's citizens are described as increasingly aging, impotent and helpless people who don't have enough strength or smarts to continue to run their country -- and not enough passion for having their own country to keep it. Aguilar said all over America he hears businesses say that Americans aren't having enough kids to provide a workfoce. "To think we could keep our economy going on native-born Americans is totally unrealistic," the Administration spokesman said. That is why the Administration is pushing to turn illegal aliens into "guest workers," he said. Looking into the sea of American Legion hats, he told the veterans that if they backed strong border security without offering legal status to illegal aliens they would be suporting an insecure American in which 12 million illegal aliens would be living in the shadows without our knowing who they are. Aguilar left before I spoke, along with Kris Kobach, Mark Krikorian and John Fonte. Kobach (with deep experience in anti-terrorism in the Justice Department, and now law professor) said the Bush Administration he served is totally wrong that bringing illegal aliens out of the shadows would guarantee that we know who they really are. Rather, it would simply mean that we know what names they have given us. He noted that one of the illegal aliens brought out of the shadows by the 1986 amnesty went on to plot the first World Trade Center bombing. Amnesty just makes it possible for illegal alien terrorists to easily travel back and forth to other countries to plan their acts of terror, he said. When my turn came, I urged the Legion to stick with its solution of ATTRITION THROUGH ENFORCEMENT. And I decried the Administration spokesman's insult of American families as being too impotent to continue our economy. In fact, I said, native-born Americans are having almost exactly the number of babies it takes to replace retiring and dying workers. I also lamented Aguilar's insult of native-born American workers, declaring them entirely up to the task of doing the jobs that Americans and the American economy needs. Nonetheless, I was shocked that the Bush Administration had chosen to speak so insensitively to the national, state and regional leaders of our nation's veterans. But learning tonight of the aggressive efforts of the White House with Members of Congress right now, I better understand: Massive new flows of foreign workers is once again a top priority of the Bush Administration. Not only must American workers and families and veterans suffer the congestion, wage depression and quality of life deterioration due to this foreign flood, but they will have to subsidize them with higher and higher taxes. While the Bush Administration shortchanges veterans programs and health care, it continues to force higher and higher tax transfers to the care of foreign workers. I noted to the Legion that Robert Rector of Heritage Foundation has found that the lifetime net taxpayer subsidy for the high school drop-outs among the foreign workers already here will be around ONE TRILLION DOLLARS. Not BILLION but TRILLION. We can save half that by denying amnesty to the illegal aliens and slowly causing them to go back home. American workers, please stand up for yourselves. American families, please stand up for yourselves. American veterans, please stand up for yourselves. When the Bush White House began leaking plans for an amnesty for all Mexican illegal aliens in summer of 2001, our protests stopped it. When Pres. When the White House feverishly sought "comprehensive immigration reform" in 2006, our protests stopped it.The key has been to mount quick and massive protest to each sign of the White House making a priority of its amnesty compulsion. Side-by-Side Comparisons of Proposed Immigration Reform
We are all pretty clear on the fact that there's a great immigration debate going on among lawmakers. What most don't realize is that several bills are involved, amounting to over 1,000 pages of legalese that Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives all have to somehow compromise on. The details are much more complicated than just... "should they stay or should they go now..." each bill has meticulous provisions, all with their own ramifications to the US, and to the foreign-born.
Two hot, mainstream topics that have been the most controversial include 1) Earned residency for undocumented workers, and 2) A guest worker program for aliens who currently reside outside the United States. A third point of major contention is border and workplace enforcement.
The bills also focus on family reunification, namely increases in the number of visas available to family members of certain visa holders. S-1438 supports no such changes, however, and proposes termination of the annual green card lottery.
S.1033--the Kennedy-McCain bill--is the most lenient, offering a path to legal status with no requirement that the aliens return home to qualify and reapply.
Immigrant Legalization Proposals
S.1438, the Cornyn-Kyl bill includes stricter provisions, requires a return home and offers no path to legal residency for undocumented-aliens-turned-temporary workers. The Hagel bills, S.1916-1919, are also stricter, but do offer a reasonable path to legalization. Specter's proposal has more stringent time limits and makes it tougher to get a green card. The Jackson-Lee bill, H.R. 2092, supports earned access to legal residency, and the Tancredo immigration bill, H.R. 3333, does not touch the legalization issue. The infamous Sesenbrenner bill, H.R. 4437 does not allow for any legalization of undocumented workers and instead focuses on criminalizing all undocumented immigrants.
Guest Worker Proposals
The Kennedy-McCain bill, H.R. 1033, proposes a new guest worker visa with a 400,000 annual cap, good for three years, with eligibility to be sponsored for a green card after that. Cornyn-Kyl's bill limits guest workers to two years in the U.S., with no possible path to legal residency. Hagel recommends a 250,000 cap with the possibility to pursue a green card later on. Specter's proposals are similar to Hagel's.

The Bushite Coup is suspending constitutional freedoms so they can continue with world wide wars, expand economic colonialism and destroy American national sovereignty to be replaced by one world corporate elite government. Illegal alien invaders are helping them destroy America.

The American and Mexican governments have colluded with the wealthy elite to use illegals as a pawn in a revolutionary coup to destroy American democracy, the last bastion of freedom in the world that stands in the way of their world conquest. International globalists are able to manipulate illegals because their stupidity and greed makes it easy to be subjugated and used as a pawn to help overthrow the American Government.
Mass population migration is not caused by economics, it is caused by design. It has nothing to do with race or racial make up of migrants. It is purposely designed to attract uneducated populations with no skills to undermine labor markets regardless of their race. The world population movement is greater than it has been in history not because of economics but because Globalists want to destabilize nation states to create one world corporate government.
Ignorant illegal alien invader racists are perfect for spreading propaganda necessary to get others to promote and join corporatist elite takeover of nation states. Keep thinking it is an issue of “human rights” where you demand all benefits of citizenship without being interested in being a citizen. Keep screaming about past injustices and Aztlan, Reconquista. That helps divide the nation into warring camps and makes it easier to conquer all of us. “A house divided against itself can not stand.” Abraham Lincoln. The United States is the only country standing between them and one world government.
Mexicans are pawns of choice used by corporate elite to end democracy in North America and then the world. The same thing has occurred in the European Union with Turk Muslims and African populations. Germany France, England and other nations liberalized comprehensive immigration programs that granted citizenship status to poor uneducated foreign populations. Corrupt American elected official traitors are now attempting to do the same.
Open borders, one world corporate government propaganda defines motivation for mass migration as “people moving for better economic opportunity.” That is patently not true. Most are moving into ghettos with few job opportunities. There are little or no chances for advancement as native populations resist planned invasions and overcrowding doesn’t provide enough jobs to sustain the populations.
If illegal alien invaders took time to compare cost of living indexes of countries of origin with countries of destination it would become obvious differences in wages they think they can earn do not offset higher costs of living. The only way illegal immigrants can survive in the United States or Europe is with government aid in one form or another.
Higher taxes on the native populations are required to support the illegal alien invaders. Job losses to over seas cheaper labor markets and higher taxes mean a lack of job opportunity for all of us. That is why Muslims are rioting in France, and Turks in Germany have figured out they can not afford to live there and pay taxes as citizens. They can only make a fair living as illegal aliens because they don’t pay the same taxes as citizens and get government benefits.
Turks are now complaining legalization of illegal aliens in Germany caused the flow of money back to Turkey to dry up. Turkey is outraged because they not only lost their work force but they have no economic benefit from wages sent back to Turkey.
No developed country with net job losses in major industries has ability to absorb a new dependent uneducated migrant population. The U.S. health system is ranked 37th in the world by the World Health organization. We work more hours per week and are more productive than any other nation in the world. Our education systems rank behind other developed countries.
There is more personal debt than since the great depression, social security is about bust and will be as soon as the Mexican social security totalization agreement is in place, bankruptcies in the U.S. are at all time highs as are bank profits, and credit interest rates. New home construction is dropping. Over 3.5 million manufacturing jobs have been lost. American jobs in automobile, high tech, computer, durable goods, soft goods and manufacturing are disappearing. Family farms were taken over by international agribusinesses that get government subsidies. Families all over America have been displaced in attempts to find work or move away from higher city taxes worsened by planned illegal alien invasion and Afghanistan, Iraq and Iranian wars.
There is no intent to improve quality of life for world working populations. The goal is to bring all workers down to the same low level. The lowest wages and worst working conditions is the labor standard designed in one world corporate government. American and world futures are ones of desperation for all workers. You the illegal alien invader in America are helping achieve that goal and are a critical element needed for the success of the plan.
America has the highest trade deficit in its history. Value of the dollar is plummeting. Fears of inflation with no help from the Federal Reserve are driving investors to gold silver and other commodities. And dumb asses like you the illegal alien invaders believe the big lie that America needs more workers. Those illegal alien invaders who know better apparently come to America out of hatred for Americans and for greed.
Measures of economic success are not defined by the amount of individual wealth of the elite averaged over the low income of the poor. It is defined by the number of citizens living in poverty. America. is ranked second only to Mexico in child poverty. Numbers of those in deep poverty in the United States are growing with no prospect for changing their plight.
Countries with low poverty rates generally have lower average income rates because taxes are more equitably applied based on total wealth and contribution to the society. The United States devalues labor costs with higher proportionate taxes and places a greater emphasis on value of capital or the wealthy. They can report there is great prosperity when 40% of the nation is living in or near poverty.
Greedy ignorant illegal alien invaders are participants in creating a volatile situation that is about to explode. Influx of illegal alien invaders promoted by seditionist American and Mexican corporate elite governments is throwing gasoline on a simmering fire of outrage and disgust with the way government is ignoring will of the American Citizens. John F. Kennedy said: If you fail to permit peaceful revolution change you are doomed to violent revolution.
The Bushite Coup has pushed Americans about as far as they are going to be pushed and it is not wise to be between Americans stripped of their liberty and those who have stolen their freedom. Illegal aliens are making an error of judgment when they align with corrupt American elected officials and make demands for amnesty when none is available for American citizens.

The time is close for things to change and change drastically they will. We will not accept rule by the elite in this country any longer. We all need pray that spark will not be struck, but it appears there is little chance it won’t be. Combination of ignorance and greed of illegal alien invaders and wealthy elite seems intent on ignoring strength of American people and their desire to remain free. Americans will not tolerate this authoritarian government.

If we are going down as a nation it will be a lot quicker if they have groups in the country already trained and educated to hate each other. Mexicans are a good patsy for that purpose. If radical illegal alien invaders are any indication of the average invader, they are pretty stupid and will easily believe the propaganda. Try to figure out why they are not stopping people from crossing the open borders when they have capability to do so at any time. Ignorance is a correctable condition. Stupidity is a terminal disease in the economic new world order.

Upon searching the internet for items related to U.S. Immigration, I came across a site devoted to anti- immigration and stoping the invasion of our country. I post this information for those who may wish to join and network with other users accross the country to keep up to date on whats going on in other areas as well as here in Michigan. On this site you may chat, read articles and comments and I hope to add a link to our blog as well. Enjoy!

So in this section we will post and encourage others to post known cities who are currently taking or plan to take similar actions as Mayor Barletta in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and the Escondido, California City Council who recently voted 3-2 Wednesday night October 4, 2006 to give initial approval to an ordinance prohibiting landlords from renting to illegal immigrants.
Under the proposed ordinance, landlords would be required to submit documentation of their tenants' immigration status to the city, which would then pass the information along to the federal government for verification.
Landlords whose tenants are not legal residents would have 10 days to remove the renters or face penalties, including a suspension of their business license and misdemeanor charges for repeat offenders.

Why Do They Want Violent Crimes and Drugs to Increase by Olivia Smitherman

When one surveys the alarming rise of criminal incidents involving illegal aliens, human cargo smuggled en masse like so much cattle, and boarder-crossing drug arrests, one must ask “Why do pro-amnesty advocates want crime to increase in our nation?”

Have they ever lived in gang neighborhoods in Los Angeles where gun shots, some even from automatic weapons, ring out in the night, where drug runners freely run through apartment halls, knocking down doors to collect their bounty, and where people are shot dead on day-lit streets as casualties of gang wars?

Do these pro-amnesty advocates, who want the borders freely opened for the sake of “free” international trade, have any idea of what they are exposing our nation to? Do they really think that such trade is free? Do they not recognize the consequences of their decisions or do they not care?

How can any legislator, who claims to represent the American people, want to increase the free flow of all types of drugs that cross the border from Mexico day and night? Do they really want more uncontrolled cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine drugs , etc. available to further corrode the American population?

Do they not read the newspaper accounts about our nation’s jails and prisons overflowing with illegal aliens who have committed major crimes, in addition to the major crime of crossing our nation’s borders illegally in the first place? Is it beyond their scope of understanding that our Criminal Justice system cannot sustain such an overwhelming influx of crime?

Do they not care about the avalanche of illegal social security cards, false drivers licenses, stolen credit cards, etc.––indicative of the overthrow of our national culture built on institutional systems of Law and Order?

Do the so-called liberal and conservative politicians, who support legislation that would welcome such criminal influx with open arms, really think that throwing away our country is worth it if we can buy tainted chicken for twenty cents a pound, or eat at restaurants where waiters and cooks do not even speak our language?

Our national mottos are suppose to be “One Nation Under God,” and “In God We Trust.” But if these politicians, who are either totally blind or totally corrupt, succeed in their efforts to destroy our beloved country, those sacred ideals will be twisted into “One Nation Under Crime,” and “In the Criminals We Put Our Faith.”

We at MCFIR will continue to ask these questions. And we maintain faith that those Americans who are neither blind nor corrupt will continue to shake our politicians to wake up before it is too late!

Welcome to Americans for a Just Government blog. We are an offshoot of Michigan Citizens for Immigration Reform. We hope that you will comment on this information as well as tell your electronic friends, family and neighbors about us.

Over the last year, the scope of this issue has broadened from simply concern about the affect of illegal aliens in our country. We see it as part of a plan by the elites in this country to dissolve our sovereignty and create a North American Union, an entity that would destroy the United States, our bill of rights, and the very fabric of our society.

Our elected Congress seems to have little power to stop this. Our Senate appears fully behind this project when we reflect on their push to give illegal aliens amnesty (109th Congress S2611), full benefits, and rights of American citizens. We as citizens are not being represented and we sit by and watch our way of life crumble. In New York they are considering letting non-citizens vote!

We’d like your thoughts on how the citizens of the United States can reclaim our representative form of government. We must wake up the apathetic people who trust the government will look out for their own good.

This letter is to inform you of the formation of a citizens’ organization to combat a dangerous situation. Illegal aliens are blatantly invading our country right under our noses and with the apparent approval of our government.

Michigan Citizens for Immigration Reform is a group of individuals whose goal is to bring awareness to our community of the problems illegal aliens create. We wish to combat this invasion. The following is a short list of our concerns:

Ø Michigan’s loss of congressional seats (one so far) because of the illegal population in the southwest. California took 3 seats away from other states after the 2000 census simply because illegal aliens are counted (and represented). Loss of more congressional representation will occur in the future.

Ø The loss of jobs to American citizens

Ø It is creating a country where laws are not enforced

Ø Crime, gangs, and illegal drug traffic that deteriorate our cities and neighborhoods because of these illegals

Ø Thousands of illegals arrive every day. Terrorists are able to come in this way as well.

Ø Billions of our tax dollars spent for free health care, schooling and other costs for illegals.

Ø Children of illegals who are given automatic citizenship
